Here are a few pictures from my trip to Mongolia. I took the train from China to Mongolia in February 2008 and spent a month here. I then tried to continue onto Russia but was refused a visa (a long story!). So instead headed back into China and traveled across to Central Asia. It was my first time to experience the nomadic lifestyle, and I fell in love with it. I have found that the people living as nomads in Mongolia and other parts of the world are truly alive living every moment. Although it must be difficult at times (-40 on the Mongolian steppe during winter!), I admire the simple beauty of this lifestyle, and I think the nomadic natives of this planet can teach us so much. I hope their kind doesn't die out and the nomadic lifestyle keeps going strong. I definitely plan on building myself a Mongolian yurt one day on my plot of land.
