Travels across Borneo (2013)

In September/October 2013 me and Lucy travelled east across Malaysian Borneo starting in Kuching and travelling slowly east via Brunei and many other places finishing in Kota Kinabalu.  Enjoy the pictures!
Deserted beach at the Bako National Park near Kuching in Sarawak.  My favourite place in Malaysian Borneo!  A great place to see my best friends the Proboscis monkeys :). As you arrive by boat on the rocky coastline full of mangroves and monkeys you feel as if you are entering somewhere really remote, though it is one of the most beautiful and accessible national parks around.  Watch out for the salt water crocs!

Playing hide and seek with a Proboscis.

A Viper.  Also saw a Spitting Cobra.

Another deserted beach at Bako.

A beautiful lizard at the Niah National Park.

The Niah Caves.  A great place to experience some of the biggest caves in the world.  No guides needed and hardly another soul around!  Quite an adventure.

A skinny stick insect.

A beautiful mosque in Brunei.

Hiking in the east of Brunei.  I almost stood on this snake!

Rhinoceros Hornbills in Sabah.

Monitor Lizard

Kingfisher

10 foot croc!
